Hill Takes Home Second Big West Player of the Week Award

FULLERTON, Calif. – Freshman Deshea Hill was awarded her second Big West Field Player of the Week Award of the season and her career for her performance at CSUN this past weekend.

This was her first time back in the Fullerton lineup since March 17 when she injured her leg against Nebraska. However, the way she played against the Matadors, it's hard to believe she missed any time at all.

Overall, she went 5-8 (.625) recording at least one hit and one RBI in each of the three games.

In game one, she was 2-3 at the dish with a double and three-RBI. In game two, she came back with another multi-hit performance going 2-3 again with another RBI and a run scored. In the series finale, she collected one hit in two at-bats before being taken out of the game.

For Hill, going back to the weekend of March 16, she is currently in the midst of a six-game hitting streak which is just two games shy of her career-best eight game streak she went on earlier this season.
