FULLERTON, Calif. – Freshman infielder Deshea Hill has been absolutely on fire at the plate over the last week and a half earning her the first Big West Player of the Week Award for her young career.

For the week, she hit .688 (11-16) and slugged an astounding 1.250 slugging percentage. She recorded five extra base hits (three doubles and two home runs) in five games as the Titans went 3-2. Hill also notched a team-best six RBI and scored five runs accounting for almost half of Fullerton's 24 runs over the entire week.
The third baseman started the week going 2-3 against Michigan State on Tuesday scoring a career-best three runs in the 7-1 victory. She also belted the first dinger of her career in the contest.
She followed that up with another 2-3 performance belting another home run making her the first to homer in consecutive games since the beginning of March last season.
The Carlsbad native continued to stay hot recording two more hits against Boston, a career-best three hits against San Diego State, and two more hits against No. 16/19 Ohio State.
She has multiple hits in each of the last seven games and has seen her season average sky rocket up to .431 which ranks in the top 100 in the nation.
Hill and the Titans will take back to the field tomorrow for a double-header as they take on Fairfield and Columbia.
