DAVIS, Calif. – UC Davis' Jasmine Lee's walk-off RBI fielder's choice in extra innings helped the Aggies defeat Cal State Fullerton 1-0 during game one of a Saturday doubleheader and Krista Bava's RBI single in the fifth inning helped give UC Davis a 3-2 victory in game two.

Cal State Fullerton drops to 22-27 overall and 7-10 in the Big West, while UC Davis improves to 21-23 on the season and 8-9 in the Big West.

Game One: UC Davis 1, Cal State Fullerton 0

Jasmine Antunez allowed just one run in seven plus innings, but it wasn't enough for Cal State Fullerton against UC Davis in a 1-0 Big West Conference loss at La Rue Field on Saturday afternoon.

Antunez (15-14) allowed eight hits and issued one walk, while striking out four, but the lone walk came back to haunt her in the loss. Antunez managed to get out of jams in the fourth and seventh inning, but in the eighth inning UC Davis was finally able to put a run on the board.

After issuing a leadoff walk to pinch hitter Caitlin Voss and an infield base hit to Cat Guidry, UC Davis' Jasmine Lee came to the plate with the winning run on third with one out and hit a comebacker to the circle, which Antunez fielded and fired to home, but Christina Guidry beat the throw out to give the Aggies the victory.

UCD's Justine Vela (13-7) records the win after tossing a complete game giving up no runs and allowing only three hits. Vela issued two walks, while striking out four in eight innings of work.

The Titans found themselves in a jam in the bottom of the fourth inning after UC Davis loaded up the bases to start the inning, but a line drive to second baseman Carissa Turang quickly turned into a triple play after she tossed it to first baseman Melissa Sechrest, who then tossed it over to shortstop Gabby Aragon to record the final out of the inning.

Ariel Tsuchiyama was 2-for-3 and Gabby Aragon managed a hit in the loss. UCD's Cat Guidry was 2-for-4 to lead the Aggies. UC Davis had seven different players record a hit.

Game Two: UC Davis 3, Cal State Fullerton 2

After falling behind 2-0 after the second inning the UC Davis Aggies found a way to crawl their way back in game two to defeat Cal State Fullerton 3-2 at La Rue Field in Davis, Calif.

The Titans got thing started off in the second inning after Gabby Aragon led off the inning with a single to left field. After another single to left field by Carissa Turang, which advanced Aragon to third, senior Tiffany Sheffler hit an RBI sacrifice fly to left field scoring Aragon. Leesa Harris would then extend the Titan lead to 2-0 with an RBI infield single.

UCD would tie the game up in the bottom of the fourth inning after catcher JJ Wagoner hit a two-run triple to the center field fence scoring designated player Kayla Tyler and pinch runner Megan Guzman. The Aggies would then get the go-ahead run in the bottom of the fifth after a two-out RBI single from center fielder Kristin Brava scored Chandler Wagner from second.

The Titans would try to tie the game up in the sixth and seventh inning, but would only be able to get one base runner on in the final two innings. UC Davis starter Jessica Thweatt (4-6) tossed a complete game giving up two runs off six hits, while issuing one walk and striking out five.

Desiree Ybarra (6-12) also tossed a complete game for the Titans giving up three runs off eight hits, while striking out one. Aragon and Turang both collected two hits and a run for Fullerton in the loss.
