JUNIOR (2013): After spending her two first two years at San Jose State, Mertz was primarily used a pinch hitter during her first year at Fullerton...she appeared in five games this season and led the Titans with a .400 batting average...had two hits in five at-bats including a RBI single against Charleston Southern on March 8 that forced a run-rule in the sixth inning to give the Titans a 10-2 victory...was 1-for-2 against San Diego State on April 20.

SAN JOSE STATE
Southern California native played her first two seasons at San Jose State University, batting .222 in 21 games...hit .308 in 11 games played during her freshman season...four hits on the year and drew four walks...primarily used as a pinch runner scoring runs three runs in 10 games.

KENNEDY HIGH SCHOOL
Two-year letterwinner at Kennedy High School in La Palma, Calif., for head coach Sarah Mesa...two-time All-Empire League selection...2009 Scholar Athlete of the Year...also played basketball during her junior and senior years.
