CAL STATE FULLERTON
JANUARY 2006: Played for assistant coach Demian
Brown on the Cal-South Women's Soccer State Select Team that won
the national championship at the 2006 George F. Donnelly Cup in
Tampa, Fla. The team, made up of players from local Southern
California universities, posted a perfect 4-0 record in regional
play and outscored teams from Massachusetts (6-0), Illinois (1-0),
and Tennessee (1-0) by a combined 8-0 score to win the national
championship.
2005 (JUNIOR): One of six players to start all
23 matches... tallied her lone point of the season with an assist
in a 2-0 victory over UC Irvine... earned All-Big West Conference
First-Team honors on defense for the first time in her career... A
member of one of the most dominating defenses in school history,
setting school records for fewest goals allowed (15), fewest shots
allowed (161), and most shutouts in a single season (12), while
also tying the record for consecutive shutouts in a single season
with four from Sept. 16-29, outscoring the opposition 11-0 in that
span.
2004 (SOPHOMORE): Appeared in all 20 matches,
making 15 starts... took a season-high three shots against UC Santa
Barbara (10.8)... tallied her lone point of the season and an
assist on the Titans' second goal in a 3-2 victory over Cal State
Northridge (10.17)... starter on a defense that set school records
for fewest goals allowed (18), fewest shots allowed (183), and tied
the record with most shutouts in a single season (8).
2003 (FRESHMAN): One of six Titans to appear in
all 19 matches, making 18 starts... tallied her first career point
with an assist in a 1-0 victory over Pacific... took five shots on
the season.
SIMI VALLEY HS
Played four years of varsity soccer for Simi Valley HS... earned
Golden State Awards for algebra 1 and writing as well as being
named a scholar-athlete as a sophomore and junior... earned
second-team All-Marmonte League honors as a freshman and
sophomore... named Marmonte League Defensive MVP and team MVP as a
junior... earned first-team All-CIF Division II honors as a junior
and second-team honors as a senior... served as team captain and
was team MVP as a senior.
PERSONAL
Born September 6, 1985, in Thousand Oaks, Calif... Parents are
Gary and Diana Janke... Her older sister, Laura, was a goalkeeper
for the Titans from 2000-03 and spent the previous two seasons as a
graduate assistant coach with the program... One of five children
and one of four girls joining sisters Erin (24), Sara (21) and
Laura... has a younger brother Matthew (12)... a criminal justice
major, she hopes to become a firefighter after graduation.
