Former Cal State Fullerton goalkeeper Scott Alexander returns for his third season as a full-time assistant coach with the Titans' women's program in 2008, focusing on training Fullerton's netminders.

Alexander spent the 2001-03 and 2005 seasons as a volunteer assistant coach under former Head Coach Ali Khosroshahin before joining the program on a full-time basis in 2007.

Under his tutelage, former Titan Karen Bardsley became the first player in Big West Conference history to be named Big West Goalkeeper of the Year three times (2004-06) and was named a Freshman All-American by Soccer Buzz in 2002.

In 2007, Alexander played a key role in developing Shayla Sabin into the fourth-consecutive Goalkeeper of the Year from Cal State Fullerton as the junior posted a 0.89 goals against average and seven shutouts en route to All-Big West First-Team honors and Big West Conference Tournament MVP laurels.

In between Titan matches, Alexander spent two years training alongside some of the world's finest players with the Los Angeles Galaxy of Major League Soccer and played professionally with the United Soccer League's El Paso Patriots in 2003, posting four shutouts, 93 saves, and a 1.54 goals against average.

A four-year letter winner at Cal State Fullerton for former Head Coach Al Mistri, Alexander completed his career in 2000. He shined as a junior after being thrust into the starting role after an injury to Sean Rockwell, posting a 12-5 record in net to go with five shutouts and a 1.20 GAA.

Alexander was a three-year letter winner at Hemet HS in Hemet, Calif., earning league MVP, first-team all-league, and team MVP honors during his senior year. He also earned first-team all-league and team MVP honors as a junior.

A native of Hemet, CA, Alexander graduated from Cal State Fullerton with a bachelor's degree in philosophy in 2002. He currently resides in Fullerton.
