Albuquerque, New Mexico - The Cal State Fullerton Titans women's soccer team dropped the second game of their three game road trip against the University of Mexico, 2-1,  on Thursday night at the UNM Soccer Complex.

Playing their second straight game in elevation, the Titans (0-2-1) were on their backfoot to start the match as the Lobos came out looking to pounce on the Titan defense.

The Lobos (1-0-2) had eight shots in the first 15 minutes with Mia Ranson making four saves early in the match.  The Lobos finally broke through the Titan defense in the 27th minute after a goal by Skye McMillion.

The Titans then turned their pressure onto the Lobos after the goal and eventually found an equalizer in the 42nd minute.  Vanessa Buso played a ball down to Kaylin Raibon on the right side and her shot sailed past the New Mexico keeper to make it a 1-1 game.

The Lobos scored what turned out to be the gamewinner early on in the second half after a poor clearance by the Titans defense after a corner kick in the 48th minute.  The Lobos's Margaux Clarke hit a shot from on top of the box through the Titan defense into the low corner to give them the 2-1 lead.

Kyah Otholt and Gracie Paton made their Titans midway through the second half to give the Titans some energy up top.

The Titans made six changes with 12 minutes left to try and bring some fresh legs onto the pitch.  However, the Lobos defense was able to see off the game and secure the home victory over the Titans.

The Titans were outshot 19-to-10 for the match and Mia Ranson made seven saves for the match.

The Titans will close out their three game road trip and third game at elevation on Sunday in Las Cruces, New Mexico against the New Mexico State Aggies.  Kick-off is set for 12:00 pm PST.
