PROVO, UTAH - The Cal State Fullerton Titans women's soccer team lost 4-1 on Saturday evening at South Field against the No. 13 BYU Cougars.

The Titans (0-1-1) found themselves in a hole early after giving up two goals in the first fifteen minutes of play.

The Titans once again had to shake off a sluggish start and had their best chance to score in the first half in the 19th minute after Olivia Peraza shot from 30 yards out and forced the BYU goalkeeper to punch the ball over the crossbar.

Mia Ranson did her best to keep the scoreline respectable as she was called into making 11 saves on 22 shots and 15 shots on goal by the Cougars.

The Titans came out attacking to start the second half but gave up a third goal to the Cougars in the 51st minute to make it a 3-0 ballgame.

The Titans finally found the breakthrough in the 74th minute and scored their first goal of the season.  Jaden Hall won the ball in the Titans half and dribbled up the field to take on three BYU defenders.  She played a perfectly timed through ball to Laurie Ann Moise who was able to blast it into the corner past the keeper.

However, BYU killed off any momentum the Titans had in the 81st minute after scoring their fourth goal of the game.

After flying back home for a few days the Titans will head next to the Land of Enchantment as they will take on the University of New Mexico on Thursday and New Mexico State on Sunday.
