FULLERTON, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton's Women's Soccer hosted its annual "Kick-Off Fundraiser" on Saturday, August 5 at the Fullerton Arboretum's Bacon Pavilion. Players were accompanied by coaches, friends, family, and alumni to help make the fundraiser a success.
Guests enjoyed a pasta dinner from Alza Osteria along with a bar and desserts. They were also welcomed to begin bidding on silent auction items like electric bikes and wine baskets. Once the silent auction closed, the program began and Tonantzin Oseguera, VP for Student Affairs, and Mike Perez, Faculty Athletics Representative, both gave a speech. Coach Brown then introduced the team and the live auction began. Guests were excited to bid on items like a signed Pele jersey and a 5-night trip to Hawaii.
The Titans were able to raise $37,270, which is 93% of their goal of $40,000. It's not too late to help them reach that goal. Donations can be made here. Still available is a 5-night stay in Waikiki, HI for up to 4 guests which is perfect to use when the team plays the University of Hawaii in the 2024 season.
"The team is endlessly grateful for all the support. None of this would be possible without our donors and they have no idea how much the support means to us," says head coach Demian Brown.
The Women's Soccer Team was delighted with the outcome of their event and can't wait to see what successes the upcoming season will bring for them.
