IRVINE, Calif. - Senior Forward Kaytlin Brinkman and Freshman Defender Kaylin Raibon were named the Big West Offensive and Freshman Player of the Week it was announced on Monday by the conference.
The Titans only played one game this week but it was a dominant 4-1 victory at home over UC Riverside.
Kaytlin Brinkman was named the Offensive Player of the Week after scoring her first collegiate brace. Brinkman is tied for the Titans lead in goals with 4 goals this season. Brinkman scored twice within two minutes in the first six minutes of the game against the Highlanders, spotting the Titans an early 2-0 lead. She buried a penalty in the 4th minute after Emelia Owen was brought down in the box.

She scored nearly two minutes later after Kaylin Raibon sent a ball into Brinkman inside of the 18 yard box and did well to control the ball and slot it past the keeper.

Kaylin Raibon was named the Freshman Player of the Week after her two assists in the game. Raibon first sent in an assist to Brinkman to make it a 2-0 game. She sent in another cross that Kaya Hawkinson headed into the net that made it a 3-1 game for the Titans.

For the season, Raibon has six points via one goal and four assists. She is tied for the conference lead with 4 assists and her goal was a game-winning goal against CSUN. With her 6 points she is right behind the co-Freshman leaders with 8 points, however, they are all forwards and Raibon is a defender.
These are the first awards of Brinkman and Raibon's career. These are the sixth and seventh weekly awards the Titans have achieved so far this season.
The Titans have two home games coming up this week. They take on UC Santa Barbara on Thursday, October 13th at 7:00 p.m. They will also host Cal Poly on Sunday, October 16th at 2:00 p.m.
