SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH - The Cal State Fullerton Titans women's soccer team won their first away fixture of the season as they pulled off a 1-0 win over Utah on a goal by Maddie Kline in the 90th minute.

With just over a minute left to go in the game, the Titans executed a perfect counter attack that started from the defense.  After Kaytlin Brinkman held the ball near midfield she found a streaking Malina Yago who threaded the needle with a ball to Jaden Hall who then softly passed it to Maddie Kline who was able to calmly slot it past the keeper for her first goal of the season.

"Really impressed with the women today. I feel like the program is growing every day and this match was a good reflection of putting together to complete halves of soccer," said Head Coach Demian Brown.  

The Titans defense led by Mia Ranson kept their second consecutive clean sheet.  The Utes outshot the Titans 16-7 overall but they were nearly equal on shots on goal.  The Titans had 5 shots on goal to the Utes 6 shots on goal.

Mia Ranson made six saves for the evening while her Utah counterpart Evie Vitali made four saves.

The Titans will remain in the Beehive state as they head to Cedar City, Utah for their next game where they will take on the Southern Utah Thunderbirds on Sunday at 10:00 am PST.
