San Luis Obispo, Calif. - Cal State Fullerton women's soccer lost 3-2 in extra time at Cal Poly on Thursday night. It was the first Big West loss for the Titans since 2018 as the squad was undefeated in 2019 and did not play in 2020. Amanda Torres and Haley Brown were the goalscorers for the Titans on the night.

Torres' first collegiate goal gave the Titans (3-7 overall, 0-1 Big West) a 1-0 lead at the 9:11 mark of the first half. Meghan Schroh assisted on the corner kick.

Cal Poly scored the next two goals of the match, in the 43rd minute and 54th minute to take the lead.

Brown equalized for Fullerton in the 69th minute but senior forward Callie Petrey-Juarez did the heavy lifting with a great move in the box to beat the defender and then laid the ball off to Brown. It was her third assist of the season.

The Mustangs scored at the 92:11 mark in extra time to secure the win.

Next up, the Titans play at UC Santa Barbara on Sunday at 12 p.m. PT.
