Greeley, Colo. - Cal State Fullerton women's soccer picked up its first win of the season on Sunday at Northern Colorado. The Titans defeated the Bears by a score of 2-1 thanks to goals from Karla Rodriguez and Maddie Kline

It was a dream start for the Titans as Rodriguez's second goal of the season came at the 5:47 mark. Her long-distance shot beat the goalkeeper and gave the Titans a lead they would not relinquish.

Kline's goal gave the Titans some breathing room at the 62:48 mark. From the wing, she played the ball into the box and it looked a poorly struck cross but it went right towards the goal and the keeper misplayed it. Regardless of intention, the ball found the back of the net and it was Kline's first goal as a Titan and secured the win for the squad.

Freshman goalkeeper DeAira Jackson was six seconds away from recording the first clean sheet of her career but the Bears scored at the 89:54 mark. She was quite busy throughout the match as she made 11 saves.

Next up, the Titans return home for two matches. First up, the team plays UC Riverside on Wednesday in a non-conference match at Titan Stadium at 7 p.m. The squad then hosts Loyola Marymount on Friday at 5 p.m. PT.
