Boulder, Colo. - Cal State Fullerton women's soccer lost 4-2 against the Colorado Buffaloes on Thursday at Prentup Field. The Titans scored two goals for the first time in a match this season but could not keep the Buffaloes at bay, allowing two goals in each half.

The Buffaloes took a 1-0 lead at the 32:48 mark off a long shot from outside the 18-yard box by Shanada Hopcroft. She dribbled into the space and nobody closed her down in time and she fired a low shot just inside the post to score.

Colorado extended the lead to 2-0 at the 42:25 mark thanks to Haileigh Adams. A deflected shot and a flicked on header saw the ball end up right at Adams' feet in the six-yard box and she buried the shot.

Fullerton had just one shot on target in the first half out of three total shots. Overall, the Titans tallied 10 shots with six on target. Colorado took eight shots and had four on goal during the first 45 minutes and finished with 17 total and nine on target.

The Buffaloes scored at the 59:52 mark off a corner kick to take a 3-0 lead.

Senior Haley Brown scored her first goal of the season to get the Titans on the board in the 69th minute. She fired a shot from the edge of the 18-yard box and although the CU goalkeeper got her hands on it, the shot was too powerful to be stopped. It is the 10th goal of her career.

Colorado pushed the lead back to three goals via Rachel Rosen's goal in the 75th.

The sixth and final goal of the game came from Titans midfielder Nadia Amezcua at the 86:59 mark. The tap-in goal off a parried shot marks her first collegiate goal.

Next up, the Titans play at Northern Colorado on Sunday at 11 a.m. PT.
