IRVINE, Calif. - Cal State Fullerton women's soccer lost by a score of 2-1 on Sunday night at UC Irvine in a non-conference match.

The Anteaters took a 1-0 lead at the 6:31 mark and then regained the lead at the 62:52 mark. Despite the Titans controlling possession and causing problems in the attacking third, the final pass or the shot just weren't sharp enough and the second equalizer eluded them. The Titans had 12 shots but just two were on target while UC Irvine took eight shots and five were on goal.

Fullerton temporarily equalized via the penalty spot at the 52:35 mark thanks to Callie Petrey-Juarez. The senior buried the shot for her first goal of the season and the second of her career.

Next up, the Titans head to Colorado for two matches. First, the squad will play against the Buffaloes in Boulder on Thursday at 3 p.m. PT. Then, the team plays at Northern Colorado on Sunday at 11 a.m. PT.
