FULLERTON, Calif. - Cal State Fullerton women's soccer opened up the 2021 season last week at the Chula Vista Olympic Training Center.
"This was an excellent way to begin our 2021 season," head coach Demian Brown. "It was great to get away and focus completely on ourselves and the season ahead. I believe that the experiences from this past week will help us prepare for one of our most challenging non-conference schedules as well as set us up to defend our Big West Conference title."
"We are all so fortunate to be able to go away as a family and focus on our goals for the season," junior Kaya Hawkinson said. "Chula Vista strengthens our team chemistry and trust as it allows us to spend so much time together on and off the field."
"This week at Chula Vista provided us the opportunity to develop relationships with the newcomers and strengthen the current relationships we all have," senior Haley Brown said. This week has helped us to take steps in the right direction towards the goals we have for this season."
