Atlanta Primus Signs Professional Contract With London City Lionesses

CLUB RELEASE

LONDON - Cal State Fullerton women's soccer alumna Atlanta Primus signed a professional contract with the London City Lionesses. The club is a fully professional women's association football club based in Dartford, England. The team competes in FA Women's Championship, the second tier of English women's football.

"I'm very excited and thankful for this new opportunity," Primus said in a Lionesses release. With my U.S college career complete I'm looking forward to growing and developing here at this ambitious club. I'm excited for this season and helping the team push towards our goals."

Primus was a 2019 Third Team NCAA All-American honoree, just the third student-athlete in program history to garner All-America accolades and the first since Marlene Sandoval in 2005. She is also just the ninth All-American in Big West Conference history and the first since 2015.

Primus collected awards left and right during the 2019 campaign. She was the 2019 Big West Midfielder of the Year, named a first team All-Big West and All-West Region honoree and was the Big West Tournament MVP. She scored or assisted in 17 of 21 matches this season. Her streak of six straight matches from Sept. 13 to Oct. 10 with a point (either a goal or assist) is tied for the second longest in school history. She tied the school record for most assists in a single season at 13 and at 24 assists for her career, she has the most assists in school history. She also tallied 25 goals in her career, equaling a 74-point total, the fourth-best mark in program history.
