FULLERTON, Calif. - Cal State Fullerton women's soccer head coach Demian Brown announced the team's eight-match spring schedule on Wednesday.
The Titans will play six home matches in Titan Stadium and then play two in Malibu.
"The schedule we put together this spring will allow us to face a number of high quality opponents in Titan Stadium," assistant coach Kellan Wilson said. "It will also provide us the opportunity to hit the road and play against two of the top DI programs in the West Coast."
The spring slate kicks off with a doubleheader on Sat., Feb. 22. The Titans will play at 12:30 p.m. PT against UC Irvine in Titan Stadium. Then a few hours later at 3:30 p.m., Fullerton will play Cal State Los Angeles.
On Sun., March 15, Brown and his squad host Cal Poly Pomona at 9 a.m. and then San Diego at 5 p.m.
Loyla Marymount comes to Titan Stadium on Sat., March 28 for a 10:30 a.m. kickoff.
"We couldn't be more excited to get back to work after the winter break," Wilson said. "The success we had in the fall was phenomenal and something to be very proud of. But the foundation of that success was built throughout the course of last spring. Winning takes a lot of sacrifice and spring is the time to work harder and do more, our team motto!"
Fullerton heads to Malibu on Sun., April 5 to play at Pepperdine at a time that has yet to be determined. The Titans will then face UCLA later that day in Pepperdine's stadium, also at a time to be determined.
The spring finale is set for Sat., April 18 as the Titans host the La Galaxy Orange County Women's Team for a 10 a.m. match.
2019 was a historic year for the Titans as they posted an overall record of 14-3-4 (5-0-3 Big West), making history in the Big West Conference as the first team to win the championship after finishing in last place the year prior. The squad also posted a 16-match unbeaten streak, the longest in program history, and went on to win both the Big West regular season and tournament titles.
