ALL-REGION HONOREES (FULL LIST)

FULLERTON, Calif. - The United Soccer Coaches announced the NCAA Division I Women's Soccer All-Region Teams on Monday and Cal State Fullerton women's soccer set a program record for most honorees with four. Senior forward Maddie Bennett, freshman defender Megan Day and senior midfielder Atlanta Primus all claimed All-West Region First Team honors while junior defender Delaney Dombek Lindahl was a third-team honoree.

Primus, the 2019 Big West Midfielder of the Year, was also a first-team honoree in 2018. She scored or assisted in 17 of 21 matches this season. Her streak of six straight matches from Sept. 13 to Oct. 10 with a point (either a goal or assist) is tied for the second longest in school history. She tied the school record for most assists in a single season at 13 and at 24 assists for her career, she has the most assists in school history. She also tallied 25 goals in her career, equaling a 74-point total, the fourth-best mark in program history.

Bennett, a 2019 All-Big West First Team honoree and the Sep. 9 Big West Offensive Player of the Week and Sep. 30 honoree, was tied with Primus for tops on the team with 12 goals including match-winning goals against Houston, Kansas State, UC Davis and Long Beach State on the season. She finished the year ranked third in the Big West in points per game at 1.55.

Day, the 2019 Big West Freshman of the Year, was named Big West Defensive Player of the Week on Oct. 14 as she helped the Titans to two road wins. Her and her teammates allowed just one goal total in those two matches and she scored the match-winning goal at UC Riverside. She has scored two match winners for the Titans including in the Big West Tournament Final against CSUN.

Lindahl was named a 2019 All-Big West Second Team member for her work on a stout Titans defense as she led the team in total minutes played on the year.

With Lindahl and Day anchoring the defense, the Titans recorded 11 shutouts for the season (one shy of single season school record) and allowed just four goals in eight Big West Conference matches.

It was a historic year for the Titans as they posted an overall record of 14-3-4 (5-0-3 Big West) by making history in the Big West Conference as the first team to win the championship after finishing in last place the year prior. The squad also posted a 16-match unbeaten streak, the longest in program history, and went on to win both the Big West regular season and tournament titles.
