FULLERTON, Calif. - Cal State Fullerton women's soccer redshirt freshman goalkeeper Noa Schumacher was named Big West Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week on Monday. The Titans have claimed six weekly honors this season, four offensive and now two defensive.
Schumacher recorded her first Big West Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week award for her dominating performance over the weekend. The freshman only allowed one goal in 200 minutes against UC Santa Barbara and Cal Poly. Schumacher earned a shutout in the 1-0 road victory against the Mustangs. The Titan is tied for the conference lead with six shutouts on the season, including four in conference play. The keeper tallied five saves against the Mustangs and had one stop against the Gauchos in a 1-1 draw. Schumacher owns a 0.45 goals against average and an .857 save percentage as the Titans extended their unbeaten streak to 13 straight, going 9-0-4 over that stretch.
Schumacher and her teammates will look to secure the Big West Championship as they close out the regular season on Sunday at 2 p.m. in Titan Stadium against CSUN.
PARKING
CSUF requires a parking permit for all weekday games. Beginning July 1st, parking on campus will be $10 for an All-Day permit Monday through Thursday 7:00 am to 10:00 pm Friday until 5pm. After 5pm on Friday, Permits are not required, as well as on the weekend. Park and Pay stalls Monday through Thursday 7:00 am to 10:00 pm (Friday until 5pm) are $4 for 1-hour, $8 for 2-hours. Permits can be purchased in parking lots at the permit machines and accept only major credit cards.
