FULLERTON, Calif. - Cal State Fullerton women's soccer drew for the third straight match as Thursday's match against UC Santa Barbara ended with a final score of 1-1. Senior Atlanta Primus scored the lone goal for the Titans in the eighth minute of the match but the Gauchos equalized in the 22nd and that would be it for the scoring.

Fullerton moved to 10-2-4 overall and 3-0-3 in the league with 12 points and a game in hand on Hawai'i.

The Titans struck first in the eighth minute as Primus netted her 10th goal of the season (tied for the eighth-best single-season total in school history) and 23rd of her career (sixth-best mark in school history). It was a great team goal as the Titans controlled possession with crisp passing as they worked the ball from the left wing all the way to right as it went: Sam Blanchard, Haley Brown, Alba Barrios, Maddie Bennett and then Primus finished it off. Barrios was credited with her first assist of the season while Bennett recorded her fifth on the play. Bennett beat her defender on the right wing and then played a centering pass back to Primus that she buried on a one-touch shot. Aside from a shot from distance right at the first-half buzzer, Primus' goal was the only other shot in the first 45 minutes.

UCSB equalized thanks to the leading scorer in the Big West in Shaelan Murison at the 22:00 mark. The Titans had a giveaway near their own 18-yard box and the Gauchos took advantage as Dylan Lewis recovered possession and played Murison through and she powered the shot just underneath the arms of Fullerton redshirt freshman goalkeeper Noa Schumacher.

Fullerton tallied 17 shots including 12 in the second half while UCSB took 11 but only two shots were on target for both teams. CSF won nine corner kicks to five for UCSB.

The Titans are back in action on Sunday at 2 p.m. at Cal Poly. The final match of the regular season will also be the final home match as the Titans host CSUN on Nov. 3 at 2 p.m. PT.
