TEMPE, Ariz. - Cal State Fullerton suffered its second straight shutout loss, falling 2-0 to Arizona State on Friday afternoon at Sun Devil Soccer Stadium in Tempe, Ariz.

The Titans (3-5-0) were outshot 15-9 on Friday afternoon including a 6-3 disadvantage in shots on target. Goalkeeper Jennifer Stuart made four saves for the Titans while Sun Devils' (5-2-1) goalkeeper Emma Malsy stopped all three shots she faced to keep Fullerton off the scoreboard for the second straight match.

The Titans fell behind in the 22nd minute after turning the ball over in their half of the field. Arizona State's Lucy Lara forced the Titans turnover, dribbled near the top of the box and let loose a left-footed strike toward goalkeeper Jennifer Stuart. The ball bounced low and in front of Stuart, ricocheted off her palms and over her left shoulder and trickled over the goal line to put the Sun Devils ahead 1-0.

The Sun Devils quickly tacked on to their lead right out of the locker room after halftime. In the 47th minute, Natalie Stephens and Adriana Orozco executed a perfect give-and-go play in the Titans box with Orozco beating Stuart to the short side from close range to put the Titans in a 2-0 hole.

The Titans did their best to answer back early in the second half as three of the team's five second-half shots came within five minutes of the Sun Devils goal, but Fullerton could not get on the scoreboard.

The Titans will return to action Sunday afternoon as they head to Las Vegas to face UNLV. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
