SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. – Rebecca Wilson scored two first-half goals as the Cal State Fullerton women's soccer team captured a tri-Big West Conference regular season championship with a 2-1 victory over Cal Poly on Sunday afternoon at Alex G. Spanos Stadium.
Fullerton's victory coupled with CSUN's 4-3 overtime victory over UC Santa Barbara left a three-way tie at the top of the Big West Conference standings with Long Beach State, the Gauchos and the Titans (14-3-1, 6-2-0) each totaling 18 points.
Cal State Fullerton has now won a total of seven outright or shared Big West Conference regular season championships (1996, 2001, 2004, 2005, 2012, 2014 and 2015).
LBSU holds the tiebreaker over both UCSB and Fullerton, and will be the tournament's No. 1 seed, while UCSB, the No. 2 seed, holds the tiebreaker over the Titans after a 1-0 shutout victory at Titan Stadium on Thursday. The Titans will be the No. 3 seed with UC Riverside at No. 4.
The 2015 Big West Tournament will be held at Titan Stadium as Cal State Fullerton won the 2014 Big West regular season championship. LBSU and UCR will play at 5 p.m., followed by the Titans and Gauchos at 7:30 p.m. Both matches will be broadcast on ESPN3.
The winners of the semifinal matches will play at 1 p.m., Sunday at Titan Stadium with the game aired on Fox Sports Prime Ticket. The winner of the Big West Tournament final will receive the league's automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament. Cal State Fullerton is the reigning back-to-back Big West Tournament champion.

Wilson put the Titans ahead 1-0 in the 13th minute as Fullerton's leading scorer combined with CSF's second-leading scorer, Christina Burkenroad. Wilson was able to slot Burkenroad's through pass to the far post as the pair combined for the 11th time this season.
The Titans were able to double their lead in the 15th minute as Tala Haddad's shot ricocheted off the crossbar and Wilson was able to strike the rebound past Mustang goalkeeper Heather Rouhier.
Cal Poly's (6-8-5, 2-6-0) Cassandra Fasi scored her first goal of the year in the 66th minute, to cut the Titans' lead in half, but Fullerton goalkeeper Jennifer Stuart made six saves during the match to preserve Fullerton's win.
Wilson scored her 17th and 18th goals of the season, respectively, as she passed Dolores Browning's 17-goal mark in 1996 for second in single-season history. Browning holds the single-season record for most goals in a season scoring 24 in 1995.
Fullerton's 14 wins mark the most for the program since the 2005 squad won 19 games en route to a third-round appearance in the NCAA Tournament.
For Burkenroad, her 10 assists this season also rack second in single-season history, while Wilson has recorded four games in 2015 with multiple goals.
Jennifer Stuart's 12 wins tie World Cup goalkeeper Karen Bardsley's 12 victories in 2002 and 2006 for third in single-season history.
Titan Stadium will host the 2015 Big West Conference Tournament beginning with the semifinals on Thursday night. Long Beach State and UCR will play at 5 p.m., followed by Cal State Fullerton and UC Santa Barbara at 7:30 p.m.
