IRVINE, Calif. – Fresh off the program's seventh Big West Conference regular season championship, the Cal State Fullerton women's soccer program received a number of all-league honors led by Coach of the Year Demian Brown and Offensive Player of the Year Rebecca Wilson, it was announced by the league on Wednesday.

In his eighth year at the helm for Cal State Fullerton, Brown claimed his third Big West Coach of the Year award after leading his squad to its seventh regular season title. With an 8-7-4 overall record and a 6-0-2 mark in league, the Titans clinched the No. 1 seed in the Big West Tournament after going unbeaten in conference action for the first time since 1996. Fullerton will make its ninth overall appearance – and fourth under Brown – in the conference tournament, seeking back-to-back trips to the NCAA Tournament. This marked the sixth time the Coach of the Year has hailed from the Titan program.

Wilson became the third Titan to be named Offensive Player of the Year after recording 10 goals and one assist for 21 points. While her goal total is second-best in league, Wilson helped the Titans to a league-high tying 13 goals in the conference portion of their schedule. Wilson returned to the pitch this season after missing the 2013 campaign due to injury and tallied nine more goals than her sophomore season and seven more than her freshman year. The junior went on a three-game scoring streak from Sept. 28 to Oct. 5 and recorded multiple scores in a single game twice this season. Wilson was also a two-time Big West Offensive Player of the Week honoree in 2014. Her 10 goals tie for sixth in Fullerton single-season history. The Placentia, Calif., native was also named to the Big West Conference First Team for the first time in her career after receiving honorable mention accolades in 2012.

Joining Wilson on the Big West Conference First Team is junior midfielder Christina Burkenroad as well as junior defender Morgan Batcheller – making her second straight appearance on the first team.

Burkenroad, the reigning Big West Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, has scored three goals this season while adding a team-leading four assists, including setting up Adriana Gjonovich's game winner vs. Cal Poly last Sunday which clinched the Big West regular season title. Burkenroad previously received honorable mention accolades as a freshman in 2012.

Batcheller was named to the Big West First Team for the second consecutive year, now one of just nine Titans in the history of the program to be a two-time Big West First Team honoree. The central defender has started all 19 games this season and has recorded a goal and an assist. The Titans rank second in the league allowing 18 goals for 0.87 goals against average. In Big West games only, the Titan defense is tied for the lead league allowing only five goals for a 0.59 goals against average.

Receiving Big West Conference honorable mention accolades include freshman Connie Caliz, sophomore Amanda Howard, sophomore Jazzmin Mancilla, senior Colleen Ortega and sophomore Jennifer Stuart.

Caliz has scored three goals and produced one assist in her rookie season as she was also named to the Big West All-Freshman Team. Howard, who returned from injuries in 2012 and 2013, has played in 17 matches totaling three assists. Mancilla, an all-freshman pick a year ago, has played in all 19 matches as an outside back, assisting on three goals. Ortega, also an outside back, was named the Big West Defensive Player of the Week on Oct. 27, and in 19 matches has scored one goal while delivering two assists. Stuart has totaled a 7-4-2 record in goal and a 0.74 goals against average which tops the Big West.

Freshman Kaycee Hoover, who has played both in the midfield and the backline, was named to the Big West All-Freshman Team along with Caliz.

In total, the Titans had nine players honored by the Big West, the most for the program since 2005.

Cal State Fullerton, the No. 1 seed at the Big West Tournament, will play fourth-seed CSUN at 5 p.m., Thursday at Alex G. Spanos Stadium on the campus of Cal Poly in semifinal action.
