Titans and Beavers Players to Scoreless Draw

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Cal State Fullerton is still without a win during the 2014 season as the Titans and Oregon State played 110 minutes of scoreless soccer, 0-0, on Friday night at Paul Lorenz Field.

 

Fullerton (0-3-2) outshot OSU 18-12, and five of its attempts were placed on frame, forcing Beaver goalkeeper Bella Geist to make five saves.

 

"I am proud of the women for the way we worked and grinded tonight," head coach Demian Brown said. "At the end of it, we have the responsibility to score goals and win these types of high-level games. We look forward to the next opportunity to improve ourselves against a very good team in Oregon."

 

Redshirt sophomore goalkeeper Jennifer Stuart made her first appearance of the year, making three saves.

 

The Titans held a 6-4 advantage in corner kicks, and OSU (0-3-2) committed 20 fouls compared to nine for the Titans.

 

Christina Burkenroad led Fullerton with six shots on the night.

Notes: Cal State Fullerton is 0-3-1 all-time against Oregon State… Fullerton holds a record of 11-26-11 against teams currently in the Pac-12…the Titans three-game losing streak was snapped…four of Fullerton's first five matches of the year have entered overtime, and the Titans are 0-2-2 in those games...
