Dahlonega, GA - Cal State Fullerton sophomores-to-be Deidre Crabtree and Kristen Aiu will tee off next week at the inaugural Hooters Women's Collegiate Team Championship presented by the National Golf Coaches Association at Achasta by Reynolds north of Atlanta.
More than 50 2-person teams are entered in this unique tourney that runs Aug. 3-5. On the first day, partners hit alternate shots. On the second day, it's a best ball format. On the third and final day combined scores will be recorded.
Crabtree is from Bakersfield and was the top scorer on the Titans' squad in its return season in 2009-10. Aiu is from Chino Hills and was the No. 3 scorer.
