San Luis Obispo, Calif. - Neomi Hunt shot an even par 71 and all of her teammates also improved dramatically from the first round as Cal State Fullerton moved up to fourth place Monday after the second round of the Big West Conference Women's Golf Championship Tournament at San Luis Obispo Country Club.

The Titans scored 294, 25 strokes better than their first round, and picked up 8 strokes on first-round leader UC Irvine, which shot 302 and fell into second place behind three-time defending champion UC Davis, which stands at 600. Irvine is at 602 followed by Long Beach State at 611 and the Titans at 613. Eight strokes back in fifth place is Cal State Northridge at 621 followed by Cal Poly at 629 and UC Riverside at 644.

Taylor Fowler is the highest ranking Titan at 150 (76-74), which ties her for fifth. Tisha Alyn Abrea (77-78) is tied for 12th at 155. Hunt is tied for 18th at 156 (85-71) with teammate Se Ri Lee (82-74). Kathryn New improved by 9 strokes to total 159 and tie for 26th place.

The final round of 18 holes will be played Tuesday.
