Pullman, Wash. - Deidre Crabtree shot a 1-over-par 73 Wednesday to top a strong finish for the Cal State Fullerton women's golf team as it captured an eighth-place showing at the Cougar Cup.

After opening rounds of 331 and 316, the Titans scored 304 in Wednesday's final round with only four schools logging a lower score on the day. Fullerton's total score was 951, 34 shots behind the winners and hosts Cougars of Washington State. Fullerton ranked tenth after both day one and day two.

The tourney was played at the Palouse Ridge Golf Club.

Crabtree tied for tenth individually with a tourney score of 230 (80-77-73), 14 over par. Kayla Mortellaro of Idaho and Karinn Dickinson of Washington tied for first at 220, 4 over par. Fullerton's Neomi Hunt tied for 17th at 234, Taylor Fowler tied for 35th at 241, Kathryn New tied for 55th at 254 and Kaori Suda was 60th at 257.

The Titans are idle until Oct. 3-5 when they will compete for a second year in the Firestone Grill Invitational in San Luis Obispo.
