Women Golfers Place 14th in Season Debut

Springfield, MO - Neomi Hunt and Micaela Guzman tied for fiftieth place with 54-hole scores of 244 as Cal State Fullerton resumed women's golf competition after more than two decades in absentia with a 14th place showing at the Payne Stewart Memorial Tournament Monday and Tuesday.

Deidra Crabtree placed 68th with a 252, Taylor Fowler was 76th with a 265 and Kaori Suda was 78th with a 268 as the Titans totaled 1,001 strokes. Crabtree has the best round with a 75 on her second 18 holes on Monday.

Host Missouri State won its tourney with a score of 901, beating runnerup Arkansas State by 11 strokes. Jennifer Welch of Arkansas State was the individual winner with a 219 after winning a playoff with Breanne Neufeld of Bradley.
