Pullman, Wash. - Deidre Crabtree, Neomi Hunt and Taylor Fowler each shot 5-over-par 77s Tuesday as Cal State Fullerton improved by 15 strokes over Monday but remained in tenth place with 18 holes to go in the Cougar Women's Golf Cup hosted by Washington State.

Kathryn New shot 85 and Kaori Suda shot an 86 as the Titans totaled 316 strokes for a two-day total of 647. Monday's team score was 331 over the Palouse Ridge Golf Club.

The host Cougars shot a 300 Tuesday to take over the team lead with a total of 614, 3 strokes better than runnerup Gonzaga at 617. First-day leader Montana (313) fell to a tie for third place at 620 despite scoring better at 307. Washington had the best round of the day at 294 to move into a tie with Montana.
