Yorba Linda, Calif., - Kathryn New and Taylor Fowler shot final rounds of 80 (8 over par) Tuesday as Cal State Fullerton placed 12th in the Gold Rush Invitational Women's Golf Tournament hosted by Long Beach State at Yorba Linda Country Club.

New tied for 33rd with a 3-round total of 243 (27 over) while Fowler was 53rd at 250. Teammates Deidre Crabtree (245), Neomi Hunt (249) and Kristen Aiu (254) completed the scoring. The Titans' team score was 980 (116 over par) and trailed team champion San Diego State (ranked No. 46) by 62 strokes. Long Beach State's Simone Hoey was the individual champion with a 3-over-par 219.

Fullerton is idle until the March 7-8 Lexus Classic in Fresno.
