PROVO, Utah – Cal State Fullerton women's golf finished the Timpanogos Collegiate Invite in fourth place after shooting a 11-under par 853 Tuesday afternoon at the Timpanogos Golf Club.
The Titans 853 team score is a tournament program record, breaking the previous record of 858. Fullerton also set a new single round program record with a 274 in the third and final round, breaking the previous record of 275.
Davina Xanh picked up right where she left off last season, leading the Titans individually with a 5-under par 211 to place tied for ninth. Xanh shot a 71 in the first and second round before wrapping up the tournament with a 3-under par 69.
First-year graduate transfer Gabby Minier placed 16th in her first tournament as Titan after shooting 3-under par 213. Minier shot a 70 in round one, 76 in round two, and an impressive 5-under par 67 in the third and final round.
Linley Ooi shot a 2-under par 214 to place tied for 17th. Ooi shot a 4-under par 68 to start the tournament before shooting a 76 in the second round and a 70 in the third round.
After shooting a 1-under par 215, Katharina Zeilinger placed tied for 24th (71-76-68). Zeilinger had a hole-in-one on the 12th hole of the third round of the tournament. Amber Davalos shot a 16-over par 232 to place tied for 89th (75-81-76).
Fullerton is back on the golf course Sept. 25-26 at the Colonel Wollenberg Ptarmigan Ram Classic hosted by Colorado State at the Ptarmigan Golf Course.
