MARICOPA, Ariz. – Cal State Fullerton women's golf finished the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic Tuesday in sixth place with a score of 45-over par 909.
Freshman Davina Xanh led the Titans individually with a tied for 11th place finish after shooting 8-over par 224. Xanh Shot one-over par 73 in the first and second round of the tournament before recording a 78 in the third and final round.
In her first year as a Titan, Xanh has finished in the top 15 in six out of nine tournaments played this season.
Fellow freshman, Kaitlyn Smith placed tied for 16th with a score of 11-over par 227. Smith recorded a 76 in the first two rounds of the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic before shooting a 75 in the third round.
Elina Saksa wrapped up the tournament tied for 29th place after shooting 13-over par 229 (78-73-78). After shooting a 17-over par 233, Linley Ooi placed tied for 46th place (71-81-81). Katharina Zeilinger shot 20-over par 236 to finish the tournament tied for 60th (78-78-80).
The Titans now turn their attention to the Big West Championship beginning Sunday April 16 at the Spanish Trail Country Club in Las Vegas.
