BOULDER CITY, Nev. – Cal State Fullerton women's golf set a program record for best par 72 score with a 3-under par 861 to finish third at The Clash at Boulder Creek Tuesday afternoon. 

Elina Saksa led the charge for the Titans as she finished tied for fifth individually with a 5-under par 211. Saksa shot a 70 in rounds one and two and a 71 in the third and final round. 

Freshman Davina Xanh placed tied for ninth place with a score of 2-under par 214. Xanh shot a 72 and 73 in the first two rounds before shooting a 3-under par 69 in the final round. Xanh has finished in the top 10 in three out of the four tournaments this season. 

Elyse Kim finished the tournament tied for 13th with an even par 216. After shooting a 74 in rounds one and two, Kim greatly improved with a career-best round of 4-under par 68 in the third and final round. 

Linley Ooi shot a 5-over par 221 to place tied for 35th. Ooi shot a 79 in round one and 74 in the second round before shooting a career-best 68 in round three. 

Katharina Zeilinger finished tied for 48th with a 8-over par 224. Zeilinger began the tournament with a 79 before improving each round with a 75 and a 70. 

Kaitlyn Smith competed in her first tournament as an individual and placed tied for 67th with a 14-over par 230. Smith shot a 78 and 79 in the first two rounds before shooting a 73 in the final round. 

The Titans head into the break with two top-five finishes in four tournaments during the fall schedule. Fullerton returns to the links Jan. 30 at the SoCal Ryder Cup.
