Women's Golf Tied for Fourth while Koda Remains in the hunt at the Big West Championships

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. - The Cal State Fullerton Titans women's golf team is tied for fourth place after the first day of the Big West Championships at the San Luis Obispo Country Club.  

The Titans shot 305 for the day and +17 over par-288.  Hawaii is in first place at 9-over par with a score of 297.  Only 8 strokes separate the Titans from the leaderboard.  Cal Poly is in second place after shooting a 298 10-over par. UC Riverside is in third place after shooting a 302, 14-over par.

Haruka Koda is in second place overall after shooting an even-72 par.  She is 2 strokes behind Monica Johnson of Hawaii who shot a 2-under par 72 for the day. 

Elina Saksa is in 10th place after shooting a 76, 4-over par.  Linley Ooi is tied for 22nd place after shooting a 78, 6-over par.  Lisa Djerf is tied for 25th place after shooting a 79, 7-over par.  Kayla Hunn rounds out the top 5 and shot an 87, 15-over par.  

Kayla Hunn will be the first Titan to tee-off tomorrow at 8:20 a.m. with each Titan following her in 10 minute intervals.
