Women's Golf Announces the NLI Signing of Kayla Sam

FULLERTON, Calif. - Head Coach Kathryn Hosch and the women's golf program announced the NLI signing of Kayla Sam.

Sam comes to Cal State Fullerton from Canyon High School in Anaheim Hills, Calif. The incoming freshman for the 2021-22 season had an average score of 74.20 in high school, the lowest average score at Cal State Fullerton for an incoming freshman.

"We are thrilled to welcome Kayla Sam to the Titan Family. Kayla represents everything we look for in a student-athlete," Hosch said. "She is a seasoned competitor who will bring years of experience and knowledge to the team. Kayla has also proven herself off the course with her dedication in the classroom. We are so excited for her to be a Titan and welcome her to campus next fall."

In 2016, Sam won the drive, chip and putt championship at Augusta National for girls aged 12-13. With the team not losing any of it's student-athletes after the 2021 season, Sam will be a key addition to the group.
