FULLERTON, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton women's golf returns to the links for the first time in the 2019-20 season as the team heads to Utah for the Hobble Creek Fall Classic Monday and Tuesday.
The Titans are one of the 17 teams that will compete in two day, 54-hole tournament. The field will play two rounds on Monday and the third and final round Tuesday.
The Field: Cal State Fullerton, Boise State, Cal Poly, California Baptist, Hawaii, Incarnate Word, New Mexico State, Northern Arizona, Northern Colorado, Portland State, Sam Houston State, Santa Clara, Southern Utah, Utah Valley, UT Rio Grande Valley, Weber State, Wyoming, and 16 individuals (which includes three from BYU).
Last Season on the Green: The Cal State Fullerton women's golf team made history last season as they broke the program record for lowest team score in a 54-hole tournament. The team finished with a final score of 858, shattering the previous record of 871 set in 2014.
The Titans set the record at the Red Rocks Invitational in March where they finished in second place. Freshman Lisa Djerf led the way in that tournament as she placed tied for eighth. Four of the five Titans competing in the tournament finished in the top 25.
