LAKEWOOD, Wash. - Cal State Fullerton sits in a tie for third place in the team rankings and two Titans are in the top-10 after the first two rounds of the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational Monday hosted by Seattle University at the Tacoma Golf and Country Club.
The Titans posted a 34-over 610 through the first 36 holes on Monday, tied with Cal Poly for third place. Idaho sits in second place after a 28-over 604 with all teams trailing day-one leader Washington, which posted a 4-over 580 through 36 holes.
On the individual side, sophomore Brittany Farrell paced the Titans on day one as she posted a 4-over 148 through the first 36 holes. She carded a 1-over 73 in the first round and followed that up with a 3-over 75 in the final round of the day. Farrell sits in fifth place; five strokes back of day-one leader Julianne Alvarez of Washington, who finished the day at 1-under (143).
Junior Martina Edberg also sits in the top-10 for the Titans after day one as she finished the day with a 6-over 150. Edberg struggled in the first round with a 7-over 79 but recovered in the second round, carding her fifth round under par this season with a 1-under 71 in round two.
Felicia Medalla recorded an 11-over 155 playing in her third tournament of the fall for the Titans. She scored a 5-over 77 in the opening round and followed that up with a 6-over 78 in round two. Medalla is currently tied for 27th place.
Ebba Nilsson is tied for 37th place after recording a 13-over 157 on day one to round out the scoring for the Titans and Pauline Welker carded a 31-over 175 in 36 holes.
The Titans will return to the links for the final round on Tuesday, with a shotgun start scheduled for 8:30 a.m.
