SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Cal State Fullerton sophomore Martina Edberg moved up a few spots on the leaderboard after a solid second round at the NCAA South Bend Regional hosted by Notre Dame Friday at The Warren Golf Course.

Edberg posted a 3-over 75 on Friday, moving up 12 spots from her opening round standing and sits in a tie for 58th place overall. Edberg is currently at 10-over after 36 holes, 15 strokes behind overall leader Celine Boutier of Duke, who is at 5-under after posting an even-par 72 on Friday. Edberg is seven strokes back of the top 20 and nine back of the top-10.

Edberg teed off from the 495-yard par-5 No. 10 and started off with three straight pars before recording a bogey on No. 13. After a par on the next hole, Edberg got her first birdie of the day and second of the tournament on the 368-yard par-4 No. 15. She would finish the first nine holes at even par, but four bogeys and a birdie on the back nine left her at 3-over for the day and 10-over for the tournament.

The sophomore will tee off the final round of the NCAA South Bend Regional Saturday morning at 5:45 a.m. PT from hole No. 10.

Edberg is the first Titans golfer to ever be selected to the regionals since the women's golf program was reinstated for the 2009-10 season. She is one of three golfers from the Big West Conference selected to the NCAA Regionals. Savannah Vilaubi (UC Riverside) and Kassidy Teare (Long Beach State) competed at the St. George Regional Site hosted by Brigham Young University in St. George, Utah on Thursday.

In 2015, Edberg led the Titans with a 74.19 scoring average and played in all nine tournaments. She secured her third career victory after finishing with a 3-over 219 at the Juli Inkster Spartan Invitational on Feb. 23-24.

Overall, Edberg finished the 2014-15 season with three top-5, five top-10 and seven top-20 finishes. She was selected to the All-Big West Conference First Team for the second consecutive year.

Six teams and three individuals from each regional will advance to the NCAA Championships at Concession Golf Club in Bradenton, Fla.
