CAL STATE FULLERTON

SENIOR (2014-15): Appeared in seven tournaments for the Titans in her senior season... Finished fourth on the team with a 76.52 scoring average, a new career-best... Carded a career-best round of 70 in round two of the Price's N.M. State Invitational. Would finish the tournament with a 2-over 218, a new career best... In three years at Fullerton, played in 23 of 27 tournaments and 67 total rounds... Posted a 77.68 career scoring average and 48 rounds in the 70s... Posted seven top-20 finishes and three rounds of par or better.

JUNIOR (2013-14): Appeared in all nine tournaments for the Titans for the first time in her career at Cal State Fullerton... Finished third on the team with a 78.28 scoring average... Shot a career-best round of 70 at the Price's "Give 'Em Five" Intercollegiate and also shot a 54-hole career-best 225 (+9) to finish in a tie for 27th... Had two top-20 finishes on the season, including an 11th place showing at The Gold Rush on Apr. 7-8.

SOPHOMORE (2012-13): Competed in all but two tournaments for the Titans with a 78.14 scoring average for the season -- good for fourth among regulars... posted a season-best 11th-place finish at the Folino Invitational on Feb. 17-19 with a 16-over-par 229 -- one of three top-20 finishes on the year... shot a season-low 74 twice -- both coming in the first two rounds of her Titan debut at the Cougar Cup hosted by Washington State on Sept. 24-25 en route to a season-low 224 (+8) over 54 holes.

FLORIDA INTERNATIONAL

FRESHMAN (2011-12): Mier averaged 79.4 strokes for the FIU Golden Panthers in Miami in 2011-12 for Coach Joe Vogel... a consistent player who shot 76, 79, 78 at the FIU Pat Bradley Invitational and 79, 77, 78 to place 40th at the Rainbow Wahine Invitational iin Hawaii... also shot 77, 76, 75 to tie for 27th at the Sir Pizza Card Challenge in Weston, Florida.

RIGHETTI HIGH SCHOOL

Mier was a four-time Pac 7 League MVP for Righetti High School's Warriors and Coach Tracy Davis in Santa Maria... Makayla advanced to the CIF Playoffs all four years, gaining Stage 1 as a freshman, stage 2 as a sophomore and stage 3 as a junior and senior... won Santa Barbara County athlete of the week recognition each season... aas a seior shot a league course record 31 over 9 holes at Rancho Maria GC... as a junior qualified to play in the Girls' Junior Tourney in North Carolina... also was on the swimming team as a freshman.

Born on Oct. 1, 1992, in Santa Maria, Calif... parents are Karen and Mike Mier... has an older sister, Marlee... career best round is a 69 at the Glen Annie Golf Course in Santa Barbara... communications major... teaching pro is Tracy Bowles... credits her parents with most influence on her golf career: "mainly my dad becasue he introduced me to the game and has stood by me throughout my career."
