SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. -- Cal State Fullerton sophomore Tisha Alyn Abrea shot a final-round 77 to finish tied for 10th overall and the Titans closed out their stay on the Central Coast with a fifth-place finish at the 2013 Big West Conference Women's Golf Championships hosted by the San Luis Obispo Golf & Country Club.

Fullerton finished one shot ahead of hometown favorite Cal Poly on Tuesday, shooting a final round 317 to finish at 73-over-par for the tournament (949). Three-time defending champion UC Davis ran away with its fourth-consecutive title, finishing at 5-over-par for the tournament -- 29 shots ahead of second-place Long Beach State. UC Irvine (+46, 922) was third followed by UC Riverside (+64, 940) in fourth.

Abrea finished with a 10-over-par 229 to give the second-year Titan her second top-10 finish at the Big West Championships in as many seasons after the Murrieta, Calif., native finished tied for eighth on this same course in 2012 with a 13-over-par 229. The two scores by Abrea in the last two seasons are tied for the second-lowest by a Fullerton golfer at the Big West Championships since the program was reinstated in 2009-10.

Also posting a top-25 finish on Tuesday was sophomore Makayla Mier, who closed with a final-round 79 to finish at 18-over for the tournament (237) and in 24th place.

Sophomore Seri Lee posted her best round of the tournament with a final-round 77 to finish in a tie for 26th at 20-over par while seniors Neomi Hunt (+26, 245) and Deidre Crabtree (+32, 251) completed the tournament in 31st and a tie for 34th, respectively.

The Aggies' Demi Runas, who led after 36 holes, claimed the championship with a 1-under-par 218, leading a pack of four UC Davis golfers at the top of the leaderboard.
