Lee, Abrea Lead Titans to Fourth-Place Finish in Utah

ST. GEORGE, Utah -- The Cal State Fullerton women's golf team posted its sixth top-five finish in seven events this season on Tuesday, finishing fourth overall at the 27th annual BYU at Entrada Classic at Snow Canyon Country Club in St. George, Utah.

The Titans shot a final-round 305 to finish with a 49-over-par 913 over 54 holes, finishing three shots back of Nevada, which charged up two spots into third-place, and seven shots ahead of the host Cougars in fifth. Day one leader, No. 44 Wisconsin, won the tournament at 24-over-par, six shots better than Big Ten rival Minnesota.

Sophomore Seri Lee finished with her second-best round of the tournament on Tuesday, shooting a 2-over 74 to boost her four spots in the standings to eighth with a 9-over-par 225, nine shots behind tournament winner, Kimberly Dinh of Wisconsin, who shot even par for the weekend. Fullerton sophomore Tisha Alyn Abrea, who ended day one in a tie for sixth after tying a career-low with a 71 in Monday's second round, shot a final round 77 to slip into a tie for ninth at 10-over (226) to help lead the Titans' charge.

Senior Deidre Crabtree, competing as an individual, also posted a top-25 finish, shooting a 16-over-par 232 to finish in a tie for 23rd. Seniors Neomi Hunt, who finished at 17-over, and Kristen Aiu, who ended at 18-over in only her second tournament of the season, rounded out the Fullerton group in a tie for 26th and tie for 31st, respectively.

Cal State Fullerton will take the next three weeks off before returning to the course on April 15-16 in California's Central Valley, competing at Fresno State's Lexus Classic at Copper River Country Club.
