CAL STATE FULLERTON
CAREER NOTES: One of the most prolific
three-point shooters in Cal State Fullerton history... ranks fifth
all-time in three-pointers attempted (318), sixth all-time in
three-pointers made (99), and enters this season ranked ninth
all-time in career three-point percentage (.311)... her 119
three-point attempts as a redshirt junior (2005-06) ranks tied for
ninth on the single-season list... her 36 three-pointers made as a
redshirt sophomore (2004-05) ranks tied for 10th on the
single-season list.
REDSHIRT JUNIOR (2005-06): Appeared in all 28
games for the Titans, making 13 starts... ranked fourth on the team
in scoring at 9.0 points per game, but averaged 12.8 ppg in 14
games against Big West Conference opponents... shot 35 percent from
the floor and just under 69 percent from the free throw line...
finished third on the team with 66 assists and tied for third on
the team with 34 steals... had a season-high 26 points at Pacific
(Feb. 16) and added another 20-point outing with 20 points in a
home win over Cal Poly (Feb. 25)... scored in double digits in six
of the team's final eight games, averaging 15.1 points per game in
that span... led team in scoring four times in the month of
February... started the final 11 games of the season after starting
just twice in the first 17 games... tallied a season-high seven
rebounds at Cal State Northridge (Feb. 18)... dished out a
season-high six assists twice in home games against UC Davis (Jan.
28) and UC Santa Barbara (Feb. 23)... played a career-high 40
minutes in back-to-back road contests at Pacific (Feb. 16) and Cal
State Northridge (Feb. 18)... tied a career high with eight field
goals made (in 19 attempts) at Pacific and matched another
career-best with five three-pointers made in that game... tied a
career high with eight free throws made (in 10 attempts) at home
against Cal Poly... notched a career-high five steals to go with 18
points and four rebounds in a home victory over Utah Valley State
(Jan. 26)... scored 19 points in back-to-back games against Long
Beach State (Feb. 4) at home and UC Riverside (Feb. 9) on the road
in a pair of Fullerton victories.
REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE (2004-05):
Joined the Titans at the start of Big West Conference competition
after being cleared academically to play, missing the team's first
seven games of the year... appeared in the Titans' final 17 games,
making 15 starts... finished second on the team in scoring at 11.3
ppg while also averaging 1.9 rpg and 2.58 apg... ranked fourth on
the team with 29 steals... hit on 77-of-198 from the field (.389)
and led the team from beyond the arc with 36 three-pointers made
and a .343 three-point percentage... scored in double figures in 10
of her 19 games, including a career-high 24 points against Idaho
(Jan. 22)... set a career-high with eight field goals made against
the Vandals (Jan. 22)... grabbed a season-high five rebounds to go
with 18 points and six assists at home against UC Davis (Feb. 7)...
tied a season-high with six more assists in the Titans' next game
against UC Irvine, playing in a season-high 37 minutes... led the
team in scoring eight times and in assists six times.
SOPHOMORE (2003-04): Sat out the entire season
after being declared academically ineligible.
FRESHMAN (2002-03): Named to the Big West
Conference All-Freshman Team... appeared in 28 games, averaging 6.5
ppg (fourth on the team)... her 46 assists were third on the
team... also had 21 steals... shot .285 from the floor and .309
from three-point range... also hit on 73 percent of her free
throws... had seven games scoring 10-or-more points... scored a
season-high 19 points in an overtime conference-opening home
victory over Cal Poly (Jan. 2) to go with a career-high seven
assists... also set a career-high with eight free throws made (in
11 attempts) against the Mustangs... in her first career start at
Long Beach State (Feb. 13), she scored 14 points to go with five
assists in a three-point Fullerton victory with playing in a
season-high 31 minutes... also had 16 points in 27 minutes at home
against Pacific (Feb. 27)... after playing in only six minutes in
her first two career games, she scored her first collegiate points
at home against Kansas (Nov. 27), with 12 points in 17 minutes...
followed that up two games later with 14 points and three rebounds
in a loss at Southern Utah (Dec. 7)... grabbed a career-high three
offensive rebounds in a home victory over Idaho (Jan. 23).
LYNWOOD HS
Played three years of varsity basketball for the Knights under
Head Coach Ellis Barfield... earned All-CIF second-team honors and
All-San Gabriel Valley League honors as a sophomore when she
averaged 17.5 ppg to go with five steals and seven assists per
game... as a junior, Adams was named to the Best in the West
All-Tournament team while also earned all-league honors after
averaging 18.0 ppg, 6.0 spg, and 7.0 apg... was named the team's
Most Inspirational Player as a junior and was also named the Long
Beach Press-Telegram's Player of the Week... as a senior, Adams
averaged 19.5 ppg, 5.0 spg, and 6.0 apg.
PERSONAL
Born on March 30, 1984, in Los Angeles, Calif... parents are
Derrick and Norma... communications major at Cal State Fullerton...
after graduation, she hopes to work for a high-profile sporting
goods company such as Nike or adidas while also pursuing a career
in the WNBA... also considered attending Loyola Marymount, Cal
State Northridge, and San Diego State.
