LA JOLLA, Calif. - Cal State Fullerton women's basketball capped off conference play with an 83-67 victory on the road against UC San Diego on Saturday, locking in the sixth-seed position and the first-round bye for the Big West Tournament. The Titans finished 14-15 overall and 9-11 in conference play, the most wins against Big West opponents since the 1990-91 season (14-4).

The Titans started the game on a 0-4 run before Ruby MacDonald banked a three-pointer to beat the shot clock buzzer two minutes into the first quarter and give the Titans their first lead.

MacDonald shattered a career-high, going 4-for-4 in three-pointer territory. All 12 of her points were made from behind the arc in the first half. MacDonald had four rebounds, three assists and one steal on the day.

Ashlee Lewis led the Titans scorers with 18 points on 8-of-12 shooting. The mid-range jumper added 11 rebounds, two assists, and one block against the Tritons.

Gabi Vidmar flexed her three-point range one last time this season before heading to Nevada. Vidmar scored 15 points and was 4-for-8 in triples.

Vidmar contributed nine defensive rebounds and three assists to the Titans' win.

Una Jovanovic and Allyson Tse connected a triple each to score 10 or more three-pointers in a single game for the first time this season.

The Titans fought hard to keep the momentum in the win column heading into the Big West Tournament starting March 7.
