DAVIS, Calif. - Cal State Fullerton women's basketball brought the heat against UC Davis, beating them 70-58 on Thursday night. With this win, the Titans stand 12-15 overall and 7-11 in Big West play.

Fujika Nimmo and the Titans offense led from the jump putting up 26 points in the first quarter. The Titans started the game on a 8-0 run, which set the tone for the remainder of the game.

Nimmo (3) and Vidmar (1) flexed their 3-point range after sinking all four attempted triples in the first quarter.

Nimmo led the Titans in scoring with 25 points on 7-of-10 shooting and went 8-for-10 at the free-throw line. She ended the first half by capturing the ball and running it down the court for a buzzer-beating layup.

The Titans headed to the locker room up 40-27 after pressing the gas for the full duration of the first half.

Vidmar kicked off the scoring in the second half with her second three-pointer. Vidmar contributed nine points on 3-of-7 shooting and had seven assists.

Una Jovanovic recorded 15 points for the Titans on 4-of-10 shooting and set a new career high with eight assists.

Ruby MacDonald also set a new career high, leading the team with eight rebounds.

Ashlee Lewis followed right behind MacDonald with seven rebounds. Lewis closed in on the Aggie defense to grab seven rebounds, finishing with eight points on 4-of-8 shooting for the Titans.

With the season winding down, the Titans knew the pressure to return home on a winning streak was on. They accomplished this goal by locking down their defense after allowing Aggies Tova Sabel to score a career high 31 points in the second half.

Closing off these open shots for Sabel and Evanne Turner, who scored 14 points on 6-of-15 shooting, allowed the Titans to maintain their lead and improve their winning percentage with two games left in the season.

The Titans will play their final home game on Saturday night against Cal State Bakersfield at 7 p.m in Titan Gym. The program will be honoring three seniors 15 minutes before game time.
