FULLERTON, Calif. - Cal State Fullerton women's basketball snap their three-game losing streak with their 71-57 victory over UCSD at Titan Gym on Wednesday night. This win was fueled by breaking career highs, an impressive production from the bench, and a strong defense.

Ashlee Lewis kicked off the game strong for the Titans, giving them a 4-0 edge over UCSD in the first two minutes of play.

Lewis scored 6 points for the Titans before halftime, only adding two more points on 4-of-7 shooting for the remainder of the game. She secured seven rebounds and had two assists.

Demonnie Lagway subbed into the game for Aixchel Hernandez late in the first quarter. Lagway scored an impressive nine points in the first half, kicking her scoring off with a 3-pointer to extend Fullerton's lead to 18-14.

Lagway and Ruby MacDonald were the two bench players subbed in by Coach Harada and the coaching staff. Together, they put up 17 points for the Titans and three of the eight 3-pointers made.

Three-pointers became a theme for the Titans, who found a magnetic connection between them and the net. After the break, the Titans made five buckets from outside the three-point line.

MacDonald tied her career-high in 3-pointers in today's meeting on 2-of-4 shooting from outside the arc.

Una Jovanovic also broke a career-high in 3-pointers made with four, three of which came after halftime.

Jovanovic also tied her career-high in points during tonight's matchup, scoring 26 points on 9-of-15 shooting. The last time she contributed 26 points to the Titans was against UC Davis on Jan. 14.

Not only did Jovanovic lead all scorers, but she also led the team in assists, setting a new career record of seven in a single game.

The Titans dominated the Tritons despite the availability off the bench. While the Tritons had a 12-player rotation available, the Titans successfully produced more efficiently with seven players working together. The Titans had 33 rebounds, eight steals and three blocks. All blocks belonged to Aixchel Hernandez.

Women's basketball travels to Cal Poly for a 2 p.m. game on Saturday.
