HONOLULU – Cal State Fullerton women's basketball fell to Hawai'i, 66-53, Saturday night at the Stan Sheriff Center. The Titans drop to 6-7 on the year and 1-3 in conference play.

Fullerton had another slow start to the game as Hawaii went on a 7-0 run from the tip. The Titans came back to cut it to a six-point deficit, 14-8, by the end of the first quarter. The Titans trailed by 13 points at halftime.

As they have all year, the Titans came out in the second half determined to get back in the game. Fujika Nimmo started the half with a steal and an easy layup on the other end to give the team much needed momentum.

The Titans outscored the Rainbow Wahine 19-12 in the third quarter with a last second basket by Nimmo to cut the deficit to just six points heading into the fourth quarter.

Hawai'i was able to pull away in the fourth quarter as they seemingly couldn't miss from three-point range, hitting six shots from behind the arc. The Rainbow Wahine hit 12 three-pointers in the game.

Gabi Vidmar had a great game for the Titans, scoring a team-high 16 points on 5-of-10 shooting and an impressive 5-of-7 from behind the arc. Vidmar added three assists, four rebounds and five steals.

Fullerton looks to bounce back Wednesday night at Titan Gym as it hosts UC Irvine. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. PT.
