FULLERTON, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton women's basketball defeated UC Riverside, 51-42, Thursday afternoon at Titan Gym. With the win the Titans improve to 6-6 and 1-2 in Big West play.

Titans had a slow start to the game as they were held scoreless for the first five and a half minutes of action. However, the defense gave up just four points to UC Riverside during that time.

Ruby MacDonald gave the Titans its first lead of the second half on a three-point basket after a great pass from Una Jovanovic

The Titans cruised to a nine-point victory after building a 14-point throughout the course of the second half. UC Riverside went to a full-court press in the fourth quarter, attempting to force the Titans to turn the ball over but the Titans were able to maintain their offensive production and secure the win.

Fujika Nimmo led the team with 15 points on 6-of-16 shooting. After scoring her sixth and seventh point in the second quarter, Nimmo reached 1,000 points in her career.
