NORTHRIDGE, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton women's basketball dropped its final game of 2022 to CSUN Saturday afternoon by a score of 69-59. The Titans fall to 5-6 on the year and 0-2 in Big West play.
Fullerton trailed by 18 points at halftime after being outscored 37-19. The Titans shot just 24 percent from the field in the first half of action.
The Titans made their best attempt at a comeback in the third quarter as they outscored CSUN 21-13 led by Ashlee Lewis who had six points in the quarter. As a team they shot 58 percent (7-of-12) from the field in the third.

The Titans fought hard to overcome the Matadors 18-point lead but were unable to late as the two teams exchanged buckets in the fourth quarter.
Una Jovanovic led the team offensively with 17 points. Fujika Nimmo (13) and Ashlee Lewis (12) also scored in double figures for Fullerton. Nimmo (16.1) and Jovanovic (14.8) came into the game as the second and third leading scorers in The Big West, respectively.

For the first time all year the Titans had a different starting lineup as Ruby MacDonald was forced into the starting five. MacDonald gave the team a strong effort in 29 minutes, scoring eight points on 3-of-5 shooting while grabbing four rebounds.

Fullerton looks to start the new year with a fresh slate as it hosts UC Riverside Thursday, Jan. 5 at Titan Gym at 1:00 p.m.
