FULLERTON, Calif. – With 12 seconds remaining in the game and the Titans trailing by three, Gabi Vidmar hit a three-pointer to force overtime where Fullerton would defeat California Baptist 78-72 Saturday night at Titan Gym.

With the win the Titans improve to 5-3 on the year with one nonconference game remaining.

After trailing early in the game the Titans built a 10-point lead heading into the locker room at halftime thanks to a 10-0 run in the second quarter. With the Titans leading 24-21 in the second, Una Jovanovic grabbed a rebound on the defensive end and took the ball coast to coast putting the Titans up 26-21 and forcing a Lancers timeout. Jovanovic's layup was the start of Fullerton's 10-0 run.

Jovanovic filled up the stat sheet in the first half, leading the team with 10 points while adding three rebounds and three assists. Jovanovic went on to score a career-high 23 points on 6-of-16 shooting and 11-of-12 from the free-throw line.

California Baptist cut the Titans lead to just four points in the third quarter. Kathryn Neff made a couple of great passes to find wide open baskets to hold the lead late in the quarter.

CBU took its first lead since early in the first quarter on a three-point basket with 6:15 remaining in the game. The Lancers hit back-to-back triples to extend their lead to 52-48.

With the Lancers leading 54-51 with 2:30 seconds to play Vidmar hit a corner three to tie the game at 54-54. Vidmar would once again hit a huge shot for the Titans as they trailed by three with 12 seconds left before she hit a corner three to force overtime.

The two teams traded baskets early in the overtime before the Titans pulled away, starting with a steal and a bucket by Jovanovic.

Vidmar finished the game with 16 points while recording eight rebounds, two assists and two steals. Ashlee Lewis recorded her third double-double of the season with 11 points and 12 rebounds.

The Titans are back in action for a holiday doubleheader with the men's team as they face Sacramento State at 3pm at Titan Gym.
